On Tuesday after the close Sun Microsystems revised its financial outlook, cutting its sales forecast for its fiscal fourth quarter to 10 percent or more below Wall Street expectations. This in turn adversely affected many of the Sun Micro customers (most are NASDAQ companies) on Wednesday in which the Markets declined sharply on the Sun Micro warning. News on Wednesday morning that Europe was nearing a recession also added to the negative sentiment on Wednesday.
