If the forecast is wrong there usually is a reason behind it: In the past few weeks the solar activity has been quite high. This has caused massive changes in the speed of the solar wind which changes the ion ratio. Below we plotted the solar wind speed versus the Nasdaq market for the past week (all the markets had similar movements). As you can see the association is quite apparent. It's to bad the solar wind speed fluctuations weren't the only thing affecting the markets because it would make my job that much easier. A strong decrease in the solar wind speed coincides with dropping markets while a strong increase coincides with growth in the markets.
